Radiv’s Opinion About the Riot in Libya That Killed A US Ambassador and 3 Other Staff Members

So the things are really different since I major International Relations at college. I feel like I am really concerned about politics and international stuff that going on recently. Last time in Mei 2011 I wrote about what US did to Osama bin Laden. They caught and killed him and that is a good thing to finally got the number one public enemy who brought up terrorism in this (supposed to be) world of peace. The world is on the move like the Earth rotation, the breath we take, the wind that blows, people are so dynamic. Things happen every single time. Whatever it is. Starts from a very little thing like a high school teenager got a prom date to a big cruel thing like war.
We live on Earth which is the planet of many kind of people, races, nations, religions, colors, languages and cultures.  God create us as human and totally different to each other. Even some twins are somehow different mentally yet they’re similar physically. Many people, many differences yet we love being different and we deal with similarities. What is wrong is that when some people try to mess with these differences. Actually though, differences make us wonderful, beautiful, diverse. But these people who try to mess these wonderful things up are not acceptable. Yesterday the world was shocked by the riots in Libya. Bunch of people attacked the US Embassy in Benghazi, Libya using violence tools like grenades, guns, and even rocket launcher that finally killed the US ambassador for Libya, Chris Stevens and three other US citizens as the staff members of the consulate.
Indeed, democracy stands for people’s freedom in expressing opinion and actions towards the government. Libyans just did their revolution to achieve that democracy for them, the people. I remembered when I was in Portland doing a long march protest towards Khadafi who killed many innocent citizens in Libya. There I felt the moment of revolution for some middle east countries. I mentioned about religions as the part of the world’s important thing for many people. Religion in my point of view is what people hold on to, believe in, and obey. There are many kind of religions in the world and this is all about what people believe in. Differences in every religion could lead a different point of view in some particular stuff. And towards those differences, a lot of misunderstandings happened. That riot in Libya is one of the example of people’s misunderstanding about religions. A film about prophet Muhammad just popped up in public and Moslems think that film insults Islam. Countries with most population of Moslems try to protest that film and what happened in Libya was just too over it because the misused the term democracy in here. They used weapons for protesting. This is not what democracy supposed to be. This is violence. A US ambassador was killed and three other staff members as well. My opinion here is that both sides, the controversial film maker, and also the people in Libya who did the violent riot are wrong and misunderstanding happened. For the film maker, why they made that such controversial film that obviously mocked Moslems ? Don’t they understand that religion stuff is really sensitive because this deals with what people believe in, faith, and prayers. Thus, the Libyans who did the violent riot didn’t take it easy and make it rough by attacking the US consulate because they believed that the US who started it and they just attacked it. The world is now in the move with many kind of problems in many kind of aspects. So we young people should do some in order to create a truly peaceful world on the Earth where we grow and live.
